Tips on a Sid Game?

So I replayed Sid Vicious (it's in the legendary games section) from 4000 BC. Same opponents and same settings, except no barbs. Managed to capture the GLib and get into the Industrial Era, along with Persia, Scandinavia, and Rome. France is in the Modern Ages. Been building up a lot of troops for a future war, maybe to get the UN for a diplo victory.

I probably wouldn't be in this position if I've played the game better, but I'm still getting the hang of Sid. Any tips would be welcome .

built it myself after spending tons of $$ sabotaging the AI. Vote was 3:1:1 in my favor.
