Tomorrow, when you will you get the game and from where?

Wow, sure have gotten a lot of responses. Well, goodnight now. I'm going to watch Family Guy and Futurama now, then wait around until Sulla updates his Civ IV walkthrough at midnight (don't forget about that!), and then, maybe, go to bed.

EDIT: Must save 100th post for saying "I got Civ IV!". ;)

Lunch tomorrow, whatever store I go to that has it first. :)

Ha! All of you guys who have to wait for after work to get it... I'll be getting it first thing in the AM thanks to being laid off last week! Ha! Ha!.....wait, you guys have jobs and I don't. Maybe I shouldn't be mocking you.... But for Civ playing purposes.......Ha!

Anyway - One EBGames is four blocks from my house (Folsom, PA), another one is 2.6 miles away (as the Yahoo flies), a Gamestop is 3.2 miles away (Gamestop and EBGames are owned by the same company...), another gamestop in the Springfield Mall (but a pain in the a** to get into). Best Buy is half a mile from the second EB Games. Circuit City on the other side of Springfield - about five miles. Granite Run Mall about five miles away with at least one software store. That's not even counting the Software Etc... stores (do they still exist?). Sleep patterns are arranged to best allow for the stocking of the shelves and to ensure that none of you "Workers" can get to the stores before me, but also to allow extra sleep so as to better enable myself to play late into the night. All women in my life have been lied to/broken up with/otherwise ignored. Hopefully the lack of a job will coincide with the phone being cut off for lack of payment so I won't have to worry about interuptions (yes, I paid PECO). Disconnected the doorbell. Happily I get no cellphone reception in my basement where the PC is. Typical cell phone conversation there, "Hel*static* Huh? *static* Cant hear y*static* Call *static* later" Click.

Suffice it to say...my bases are covered tomorrow. Got my route down and everything. Nothing left to chance other than them not having the ******* game (again!).

Me? Maybe at lunch, maybe after work...whenever the guy calls me and says that it's in (if he remembers to). I'm done being excited- it takes too much energy.

Can't play until like 8 or 9 tomorrow though- it's Guild Night in Guild Wars!

Hehe, I got kinda sick of it, but I have an ascended on GW. What class do you usually run as? I do Warrior/Necro when I do play.

I'm about to be laid off also, guess we will have plenty of time to look for jobs while playing Civ4.

Damn you! ;)

May you sleep through your alarm. End up running around all over town trying to get your hands on a copy of sold-out CIV. Then after checking every EBGames, Gamestop, Best Buy, and Circuit City with no luck, be forced to look up a Software Ect store in hopes they have any copies left. Upon entering the store, fall hopelessly in love with a cashier who is leaving the store just then, and figuring Software Ect is sold out anyways, offer to walk her home without checking whether they were sold out or not. At her home you meet her father, a rich business man, who ends up offering you a job...

Years later, when reminicing about how you met, your now wife adds in the little tidbit she never mentioned before, "I never told you, but that week had been one of the worst in my life up till I met you. We had finally gotten in a big shipment of some new game which customers had been harrassing me about endlessly for days, and in the melee that ensued when the copies hit the shelves I, for the only time, truely feared for my life."

Instantly you are drawn back to that moment you met in your mind. Crystal clear you can see your wife standing there in the enterance to Software Ect, how her hair was done, what she wore, every last detail... And there, just over her shoulder... a display with Civ4 copies in beautiful row after row...

MUAHAHAHAHA!

----------------

Or, I mean, good luck. :)

Lessee....Civ4/Software Etc Clerk. Civ4/Software Etc clerk (with rich Dad). Question: Is she going to be into a 37 y/o, balding, divorced w/ 2 kids, unemployed man who lives in his mother's old house (no, she doesn't live here. I do NOT live with my mommy! er...I mean mom)?
Now granted, she does spend the day ringing up sales for pimple faced Playstation kids, so perhaps someone more mature would be apealing. And she doesn't need to know where I live. Plus I can wear a hat.

Reserved at the EBGames down the street, supposedly getting it between 10 and 11. If they don't, time to start hitting the rest of them in the greater Dallas area... :)

Please accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience you may have
experienced.

Sometimes unexpected fluctuations in supply can add time to our
original availability estimate. We have learned that "Sid Meier's
Civilization IV Presell Edition" is now back-ordered, and our
supplier has not been able to let us know exactly when they expect to
have more in stock.

I'm sorry that you were not notified sooner of this change in
availability. etc with upgrade to 1 day free shipping

I already preordered from Gamestop.com, and it should be here by 3pm tomorrow (26th), according to the tracking info :).

So I think I'm all set!

From where?......sounds stupid as hell...but from Gamestop the store by my house at 11:00am....then from the fedex guy at 3:00. I'll be sitting here with 2. Thanks Gamestop online for shipping yesterday you a'holes.

:)

Tomorrow, the second my classes are over, I'll be on the road to the mall (1:10ish EST) - have three copies waiting for me - 2 at Gamestop, 1 at EB Games (to be safe).

First two are for me, and a birthday gift for my Dad next month.
Picking up the third copy for a buddy of mine who won't be in town until Friday, and thus can't pick it up.

Life is good.

It better be waiting for me at EB games when I get off work. Dammit - tomorrow night's a homebrew club night. I have to drink beer and I wont get to play civ4.

There is an EB Games a minute away from school, and another one down the block from where I transfer between LRT and buses. :D

Also a Future Shop nearby.

Tomorrow, when you will you get the game and from where?

You mean if tomorrow... I'm skeptical and pesimistic as of now about any comments made about "when" it will be in.

I expect to get my copy from the Frys Electronics that's about 2 miles of freeway from my office. I'll check at lunch since it only takes a moment but I'm kind of expecting that it won't be available til 3pm or later, so more likely I'll grab it on my way home. If it's available at lunch I'll then open diplomacy with my boss to negotiate a nonaggression pact in regards to me leaving early for the day.

For backups there's a BestBuy right next to Frys and a ton of other retail and game shop options. Living in a big city has its advantages.
