Top 5 Cities Idea

I was thinking we could have a top 5 competition for cities, top five in popolation, production and comerence. I think this would make DG4 funner. I could be like a freindly compotition between cities. I think this has been done in previose DemoGames.

In ancient rulings, any of our cities which reach a top 5 spot is elligable for a Camelot Award. If I recall correctly only 2 were handed out. The first in DG1 or 2 (I wasn't in the DG yet).

The second was handed out to Gorina in DG4. I was Domestic Leader at that time and I got the honor of handing out this award.

That award is still handed out; getting our cities in the top 5 is still a side-goal to every CFC DG.

In other words, look for Cyc's Top Five Cities threads in the archives.

(I think therre might've been the Top 5 Provinces, too. Maybe in DG2 - we had nearly 20 at the end!). Points were awarded based on production, commerce, sceince, culture points in each city (that's the time consuming part!), and I think a few other things. It's really an old idea, and when it was done correctly, it encouraged governors to take pride in their cities. (In DG2, that became almost nationalistic... We were Germany, which was kind of scary...)
