Recently i discovered the freeware Toribash 1.99 (from what i read the version 2.0 will be a commercial game)
http://www.toribash.com/

That may be one of the first fighting games that is turn based and is actually requiring more of your brain instead of your speed (i think it is a premiere in that kind of game , perfect for older people like me that got slower reflexes with the time :) )

The concept is pitting 2 radgoll influenced opponents that each features lots of joints that you can influence in 4 ways (relax - hold - contract - extend), the hands can be set to grab or to hit, allowing the opponents a virtually unlimited amount of possible moves.

Once a fight is finished (they are short, but that can be changed in the options) you can see the replay , save it, share it, view other people ones.
Be sure to check the replays that are already present in the freeware to see how masterfull some of the people playing Toribash are.

Not easy to understand and master at first because you are actually totally free of your attack/defend move and you are influenced by the gravity (there is no predefined sequence like in most of the fighting games available), but after reading some of the tutorial there, you should already impress yourself after 10 minutes.
Don't be turned back by your first time, once you get used to the gameplay and gravity, you will find this to be a very interesting freeware.
You will certainly laugh a lot when looking at your own replays :)

Can be played both in single player and multiplayer (i never tried the multiplayer).

Cripes, this game is tricky. My guys keeps getting one hit in and then the game changes to try to stop him falling over.
