TOT and other Civ2 games

I've alwasy been playing Civ2 Test of Time, and never tried other Civ2 games, like the gold edition and Call to Power. Are there major differences, and Should I get a copy and tried them? How're they compared to Civ3?

CTP -Most people here don't like it as its not a proper civ game...However there are plenty of people who play it at Apolyton. You may like the game although there are several downloads that you will need to get the most out of the game

Civ 2 - Basically the same as the original game in Test of time but it has slightly worse graphics. You may find it useful to download the multiplayer gold edition from this site so that you can play more scenarios.

Civ 3 - The latest game. You need a decent computer to play it and you may not like it. Most people do but some do not because of the random factor of cities flipping straight after you have captured them and others think curruption is too high...
