Has anyone mad any custom animated graphics for ToT? I've look, but haven't found any. Is it even possible? If so could you tell me how, and w/ what so I could atleast try and make my own.

They used a proprietary format for animation in ToT, so you can't use any of the standard animation formats. That's why nobody has done this.

Which is a pity, coz some of ToT's units look a bit crap.

At the least the static units let you use Bmp files,

meaning funky units that can turn left and right!

:goodjob:

I have noticed using Bmp's in ToT allows a greater range of colour
in the graphics (Units, Cities) leading to some nice units!

Give it a try!

:D

Seeing as Microprose/Infogames is now giving the game away on the cover of magazines, I don't know why they don't release all the tools they used to make the game...

It may not have the CIV2 scenario editor (which is bugged and crap anyhow),
And it may be harder to implement certain things,

But I think ToT is the most superior of the CIV series.

It is held back by the poor animation graphics, but it has more
events, better rules options, and if you disable the sprites, it
opens the door to far better looking graphics, with a bit of work.

I think it is trickier to create scenarios on ToT and this has reduced
it's popularity, but with a bit of work, you can do wonders!

how do dissable those sprites
I have attempted to play tot on my cyrix 586 It works but real slowly so I play gold or fw but dissabling the sprites would speed up the game quite a bit for me

thanks t92300
