Arete is currently well-known for it's animal market. We are the world leaders in the field of tow-animals, and meat sandwiches. Would you like a piece of pork, some fish or perhaps some horsemeat?

We are currently trying to convince our government to make a road towards New Giruvegan so our merchants can travel further and bring back more beautiful goodies. We soon hope to offer copper kettles, golden shields, healthy rice and eventually even elephant meat!

Talking about our governent, I also think it's time they start paying more attention to our budget! We are currently paying 3 cart loads of gold to our soldiers, most of whom are relaxing at their barracks. That's our gold, our taxes! Either do something useful with them, like stealing Spanish money, or disband them. I would also like our government to fund some expeditions to far away lands. If we could settle there, we could bring all kinds of interesting goods back to the bazaar.

Anyway, I'll stop holding you up, take a look around here at the Bazaar, and don't forget to buy something!

We now have copper, horses, cows, fish, pigs, rice and gold hooked up.

We can trade Iron Working for Maths with Hatsheput.

With currency in, all of our cities are now getting 2 traderoutes, giving 4 /city.

I think we should try asking Hatty/Lincoln for some spare change every now and then, chances are they'll give in.

Sire, I've been looking to getting my plantation up and running. I have only been able to experiment with these little insects that spin this cacoon that it turns out is made of a fine material that can be spun into clothing that is shiny and very pleasant to the touch. However, the mystics and scholars speak of how understanding the stars and the periods of the sun may help enhance my efforts significantly. In fact, my dream would be to also see such knowledge help get more value out of the plants to our south that produce vivid colors that can be used to permanently change the color of any fabric.

Such knowledge would significantly help with happiness for our people and boost the local economy.

I suppose we could trade for it with Hatty, but that'd give her useful techs, or with Lincoln, but that'd improve his tech situation even more.

I think Code of Laws might be better right now. But I'm willing to research Calendar and hope to trade for CoL with Augustus Caesar.

You are the King, and I'm sure BCLG100 has some thoughts here. I don't know if Augustus is going to be much of a trading partner, and if we give Hatty Alphabet she might give us Calendar....or we could gun for CoL, then trade CoL with Hatty just before we DOW...What ever we trade to her is potentially going to end up in Lincoln's hands, so right now, giving her Alphabet in exchange for Calendar might not be a bad idea.

I dont think we need to be in any rush to grab calender, we are in monarchy and so can easily overcome any unhappiness whilst imo silk isn't a brilliant tile to be working when sorted iirc.
