Trade Turns Remaining

In single player mode, when I call up trade details with another civ it shows what resource is being traded and how many turns are remaining (from the original 20). I'm playing a hotseat game right now, but when I call up trade details with another civ it just shows what resouce is being traded and NOT how many turns are remaining in the agreement. Is this a bug? And is there a way to break the trade agreement? I'm playing Conquests v1.22
