[NFP] Trading Science and culture to low developing countries

There has been so many times i allied an AI that was strong early game then started to fall behind drastically as time went on. It would help to be able to trade or gift science/culture/faith per turn to countries that you are allied with to help them in times of need or war.

I always felt like the interaction with other countries has always been a bit lack luster. You should be able to to this with city states as well i feel. Lastly gift units would be great to... There's so much potential there.
 
I do think you should be able to sell techs/civics, or at least have some kind of "sponsorship" type of alliance with a weaker civ who will get a lot of culture or science out of it (in exchange for the bigger civ getting diplo favor, or something)

Tech trading was a massive AI exploit in previous games . . .
 
I think alliances and trade roots are this very thing.
