Trading with rival civ?

If I have a civ ahead of me in the score mainly because their mfg goods and crop yield scores are crushing mine, is it in my best interested to be trading goods with them? Even if I am getting 4 resources in return for 2?

In other words, am I making their scores even higher and I'd be best to cancel my deals with them regardless of how much it may be helping my civ?

Depends. Do really need those resources they are trading you? Will these resources help you invade your enemies?

Sometimes it is good to trade to keep them onside.

AFAIK, mfg goods and crop yield don't have anything to do with trading resources.
Mfg goods - total number of hammers produced
Crop yield - total number of food units produced
Mike, you have to build more farms and mines.
