Transferring Civ to new laptop with no DVD drive

Hi all,

Could really use some advice, I've recently bought myself a new laptop which doesn't have a DVD drive, and I want to get Civ4 and the add ons onto it. Is there a way of transferring all the files and keeping them intact from my current laptop to a new machine or will I have to re-buy all of them through Steam or something?

Copy&Paste of the folder could be enough. The only problem is the identification of third-party dependencies which would normally be handled by the installer.
The big elephant in the room would be DirectX 9 (not 10 or newer. It could be installed parallel to newer versions). This must be installed by hand on newer Windows version.
If other libraries are required I can not answer. Please share the this information if you've tried out
