Treasure Locations...

Don't know if this is a bug or not but, in the Viking Scenario, I have YET to see a single Treasure location revealed when I research the appropriate tech . Now is this a Bug, or is there some rule about these locations that I am missing?

Do you have units everwhere there could be treasure?

The are counted as a barbarian unit so if the AI sees them it kills them immediately.

Researching a treasure location makes a treasure "unit" appear somewhere on the map. You can't see it unless it's within sight of one of your units. Once you've researched a treasure and the unit appears it's fair game for anyone to capture. I don't know if the AIs get any benefit from capturing it, but once they kill the unit it's lost.

Seems like getting lots of units spread-out across Ireland, Scotland, Britian and "Europe" is a good idea before focusing on treasure research. This way you'll be able to see it (and grab it) when it appears.
