Tricking the game into thinking I'm not using mods?

We all know that using mods means no achievements, but what if you load up a game using startup/map script styled mods and then save and reload the game but without the mod in. Would that trick the game into thinking I'm not using a modded game so I can still earn achievements?

The startup mod I'm most thinking about doing this with is the really advanced setup, the one that lets me set civs as not pickable by the AI. There are some civs I hate playing against, usually the ones that gain faith from the very start of the game, it makes it so much harder for a normal civ to found a parthenon and religion.

I don't know if that will work, but I do know there is at least one program out there that will let you unlock client-side achievements at the click of a button for any steam game and I believe someone made a modified .dll that just flat out unlocks all achievements.

Can't speak on map scripts like I mentioned in my OP but I can say it's working with IGE.

Play without mods, save, load with IGE mod, make changes, save, load without mods, play game.

Just got the achievement for using a Spanish inquisitor to remove another religion.

Or.. just use the World Builder, I've unlocked several achivements by setting up maps to meet the criteria, you don't need mods to unlock these if you want to "cheat". It really depends on what you want, you can use Fei Ling's (or whatever his nickname was) save games that achieve few achivemenets using save games.
