Hey dudes.
Last night at about 2 AM I finished a One City challenge as Amsterdam. Culture victory in 1988. Built Petra early on in the game, and was pumping out wonders in three or fewer turns. It was without a doubt, like Narrie said, my early game backbone. I had a lot of desert hills and two flood plains. Every other desert tile was either resources or filled up with Great Person tiles. Over the course of the game, I fended off three Roman invasions and five Greek ones. Towards the end, Alexander and I were building citadels to push our border back and forth.
Overall, it was a lot of fun. Without Petra I probably would have been incredibly far behind, especially in Science.
