Haaaalp!
Ok, now that I have that out of my system:

I have gone over Kael's guide time and time again. I literally cut and paste from his document. I've even gone so far as to just download his mod, open it up in modbuddy and save it again.

I can NOT get the civilization to show up in the menu. The only stage at which the Cetls show up as a civ is before we have added a new leader and we use the defaults for elizabeth.

I can get that far, and I can get the new icon to show up (I love my little Hyrulean Icon!), but I can't go further. As soon as I start tinkering with the leader files, kaboom, Celts are gone.

What I would really like to do is figure out how you pros trouble shoot your mods. When you try something and it doesn't work, how do you find out what's not working?

I don't mind checking logs or looking at databases or whatever, but I just can't figure out what I'm supposed to do!

Does the tuner help? What is it? From descriptions online it seems like the tuner can show you what your mod does to the database in real time. How does that work?

What about error logs? What logs should I check, where are they, and what are some of the errors that I should look for?

Any help with troubleshooting would be enormous. Thank you again civ V modders!

I'm wondering about that myself. When I downloaded the SDK, I noticed that my version doesn't have the Check Leader option. A few other people have said the same thing. But, I think it was in lemmy's tutorial that he doesn't have it either. So maybe Kael's guide was done on a beta version of modbuddy that was modified or we just need more help than his guide can provide :)
