Trygames installation:game not installed

I downloaded the Trygames version about one year ago, but never really thought about the fact that it did not show of in ad/remove software. The other day, I bought warlords. It won't install because no previous version of Civilization can be found. Is this a Trygames thing, with a reasonable workaround? I've looked all over for a way to fix this; you can bet that, if it does not work, I've tried it.

Trygames version is a demo version no matter how much of the game is the same and expansion packs don't install on demo versions.

I paid 50$...retail price...for a demo? So I basically, through my dismissal of the contract, allowed myself to be scammed? BTW, Trygames FAQ says that it is the full game.

If you paid $50 I'm sure you got the full game. I'm not familiar with Trygames but I know if you download something from Direct2Drive they specifically state that unless they say otherwise, store-bought expansions won't work. Typically patches don't work these versions either. Download services like Steam and Direct2Drive usually need their own special patch.
