Trying to find a good tutorial

I don't know if this should count to be on this forum instead of the tutorial forum (cause this one is more inclined for help than the tutorial forum), but I'm new at the modding scene and I'm trying to find a good civilization tutorial. Most of the tutorials I found are either outdated,really complex, or both. Can you give me suggestions?

What is it you are hoping to create in terms of custom content? It's OK if you don't know the answer. I'm not sure if 'a good civilization tutorial' refers to a new custom civilization specifically, hence the question.

The link ShiroToraRyu shared is the definitive, all-encompassing 'this is how modding works' guide. However, if you know the specific thing you're aiming to achieve, there might be a more targeted resource to point you to - for example, creating a custom civilization, or a new leader for an existing civilization, or a new building, or extending the flavour of other existing game mechanics (random example: more technologies alongside the existing ones).

For what it's worth, the LeeS Modding Guide is a great way to understand what it is you're getting yourself into.
