I see that people are going to play TSFE1 PBEM. I thought why they must play the version 1.0 when I have much newer files at home?

Here are neccessary files for playing TSFE2 multiplayer. This is still only playtest version but it is already better than TSFE1. The final release will be after 1 month, I hope, because there is much work left to do.

So, you can play with these files or you can wait until the final release. I warn that this version is not yet fully playtested and balanced. Also work with graphics is still in progress.

I divided files into 3 zips to met the forum limits. I didn't include sounds. Sounds from TSFE1 will do the work.

I just tried this, and while there are many needed units, namely engineers, and the carrier, there are a few problems. The Allies dont start with Allied tech, the graphics are bad (not so much terrain, but the units need to go back to the old units) and the water line around africa is bad, because it will prevent a lot of fun strategy down there.

I dissagree.

The units don´t look any worse than the others, and the water line has to stay. TSFE is not to be a ZWK-type scen where the player can do anything he wants. It´s an HISTORIC reconstruation. Juz my 2 cents.....

Sincerly,

Units are made mostly by Nemo! I'm sure that they are better than my original ones.

This is strange that you say that Allies don't have Allied tech. They must have. Maybe some files are corrupted during uploading, I'll go home and check it.

The waterline in Sahara is neccessary because in original version AI sent many units to aimlessly wander in the desert. Now they all are used for attacking your cities.

I hate the unit graphics. They are two cartoonish. I liked the old ones. And I like all the historical triggers, but it just looks bad on the mini map, and I'm wondering how he got the water in the North African cut off to look like that. I've seen another scenario where it was just the pollution graphics, and it caused global warming and ruined the game.

But once again it comes down to how well you can start at different points. If Marko doesn't fix this, I'll sell him to the devil for a good copy of the first TSFE, and hang myself if someone tries to change it agian.

Switch back to the old graphics. They are more serious looking and the new ones well . . .. But good jon on the engineers and carriers.

Then what do engineers build?

Marko, the scenario is great.

uhm... this one shouldn't be here... sorry...

Marko, just wanted to say that the update is gr8! :goodjob:
I have to say that the new graphics is better than the old.
Keep up the good work ;)

Am i the only one who thinks the old graphics make it seem more serious?

And just to point out, I do like the new cities, units, and city graphics. And i dont hate all the units grapiphics. I will probably use some, specifically the naval units. Is it just me, or do these change as the game goes along. If this is true, nice job. And sorry if I made you miss a night.

And I have to say, for removing the railraods, you have done well in balancing movement. But maybe standard terrain move cost should be upped to compensate for no road movement.

You don't need to make the TSFE1 style units files, I already did it. Look my posts above from March 11. There are attached two files: OrigUnits1 and OrigUnits2.zip. They contain TSFE1 style units files for TSFE2. Newer ships are also included. Just replace the current TSFE2 unit files.

And now I don't think at all that the time spent for making these files was wasted. It is actually good idea to have two different sets of units for the scenario. So people can choose which ones to use.

Hooray For Marko:beer:
