TSG #1 (general)

Where can I find a list of all the rules? Is this the game where we each play 15 turns and then ICQ/email the game to our other team mates?

Greek Empire thread is open!

And here is our glorious coat of arms!

Now!

Civfighter and Hippo!!!

Some thing I want fromyou:

1) Play your turns and open your threads!
2) In the opening post of your threads I want this info to be included:

-----------------------------

For civfighter's thread:

starlifter (starlifter@eudoramail.com),
civfighter (szhuang@lynx.neu.edu),
drake (whighfill@transcendonline.com),
Berzerker (berzerker3@excite.com),
Hell-Raiser (sakke_tq@hotmail.com),
deimos (deimos@****you.co.uk)

***The order of play is:
civfighter, starlifter, deimos, Berzerker, Hell-Raiser

Rules are: -Raging Hordes
-Restart is off.
-7 Civs
-Deity

-15 turns per player
-3 days delay to post the game. If game isn't posted the player's turn is reported just after the one who was next to him. (that rule will have to be followed strictly if we want the game to move on)
Misc:

-No Airbases used for irrigation
-No Bribing (exept barbarian units of course!).
-No Fundy!
Teams have the right to look in the other teams' threads

-----------------------------

For Hippo's thread:

Cunobelin of Hippo (twighig@canada.com),
Andu Indorin (astoll2525@aol.com),
Kev (kevd111@aol.com),
hetairoi22 (andreas@dk2net.dk),
Belisarius (belisarius@btinternet.com)

***The order of play is:
Cunobelin of Hippo, Andu Indorin, Kev, hetairoi22, Belisarius.

and also include the rules above (not pasting them again)

-----------------------------

All this so as to avoid confusion in the futur
Hey feel free to make up a little story too and even to design your flag. Some patriotism would add fun to the game.

oh and as a title to your thread write "TSG #1:" amd then whatever you want. (British empire, glorious carthaginians or whatever) but put TSG #1 to avoid confusion with futur Succession games.

It's all looking good AZ - great job of organizing everything.

So what starting technologies do our mighty civs have as gifts from above?

Hello all. Nice work, Az... thanks.

I'm ready on Team 2 at any time now. To be fair, I must say that sometime in the upcoming weeks, I might have to leave the group, depending on US Military commitments and the details of our upcoming duties.

Hmmm...

According to our Fealess leader Hippo, we seem to have different ones. And better ones I might add.

Just curious

The MGE teams started with the same savegame...but we did not . But we have the same number of starting techs, so it's fair enough.

As for their 'better' status...well that's just my influence

Let's go!

LOL, no, I didn't enlist... I am already "in". Friends do tell me the recruiting offices are filled with volunteers in the last few days. I'm a pilot in the reserves, and its looking like the reserves will be called for duty in increasing numbers. In fact, a few thousand have been activated already. In the Persian Gulf War, about 330,000 were called up.

In the Gulf War, I was in most the Middle East countries, though only for one to 3 days at a time. My job was to fly material and people in/out, and we flew round the clock.

BTW, I'll get plenty of notice of the call-up, since this is evidently going to be a long, sustained conflict. It is very unlikely that I'll be deployed on short notice. And if I do, I'll probably get a notebook PC and connect to the world via the Internet anyway. I used an old IBM Thinkpad 500 (50 MHz 486, 8 MB RAM, 7.4" B&W screen!) in Bosnia, and that was 5 years ago .

Its amazing how a similar start can so quickly diverge. Time for some fun awards.

The Carthaginians win the Most Sociable Award and Party Animals hat for meeting the Zulus in 1300BC and then holding wild embassy parties at Marco Polo's in 775BC. [party]

They also win the Deep Thought Award for gaining Philosophy first in 1,200BC. Obviously so they can impress the girls with how deep they are. :grad:

The English (off course) win the Pomp and Circumstances Class award by achieving Monarchy first in 3,500BC. :queen: All the girls love a knight.

They also win the Can't Sleep without a Night Light award for building the first wonder the Lighthouse. :scan:

The Greeks win the Sea Dog Award which includes a barrel of limes for discovering Map Making in 3,300BC and building the first Trireme in 3,100BC :fish: All the nice girls love a sailor.

Now we know what makes the world go round.
