I played about 100 turns last night and I'm now at turn 125 145. So far, my game has been going pretty good. I have three cities, and I've built them in areas surrounded by resources. I've also tried pumping out as much science and culture as possible and tried to make the two work together. I've completed the Liberty SP tree and nearly done with Tradition. I'm leading all civs score-wise, with my nearest competitor being Haile Selassie (but I'm still a good 60+ points up on him). The reason for that is that I've built many wonders (lead all civs) and I've tried expanding to have as uch territory as possible. I've always pledged to protect La Venta and Geneva, both of which are supplying me with goods and faith.
Overall, I think I'm on good track to win this game; not in record time, but definitely a win. As soon as I get some universities up and running, as well as Oxford University, my science research should skyrocket and get me to the win. I'm giving myself another 200 turns or so to complete this game.
Update - 4:49 PM: I played a few more turns during my lunch hour at work today. Ethiopia has overtaken me in score and technology, and the Mayans are hostile toward me. Now I'm debating whether I should use a city to build up an army and attack the Mayans and Ethiopians. I have RAs with Ethiopia, Sweden and Carthage, and I'm trying to build up a good relationship with the Byzantines. It's getting tougher as I go along, and I need to find a way to just boost my science to win this game.
