Ok. We will have two new cities next turn, one on the choke point and the other 2 tiles west of Thunder Falls. What shall we name them and what shall we build?

We will have Map Making ready in ~10 turns, and I plan to have Galley and a Settler ready by then. I guess we should send over a JT or something as well.

The embassy with C3B costs 54 Gold now...

We're still stronger than C3B militarily, but in all other areas I believe they are surpassing us.

We now have 3% world area, while C3B have 5%. We have 14% population, and C3B 20%.

Still, we are third in land area and fourth in much else (we were third in many areas last turn). I guess something interesting is happening somewhere else in this world...

Still haven't seen any new Saxon Warriors, but their Galley is still floating there.

These barbs are sitting still however, maybe we will get some new Workers soon? :)

I've loaded the save and took a long look at it. Here are the comments:

1) We can use Rytty for harbor prebuild. However, returning for upgrade with one of our curraghs is not reasonable. It is though too early for galley prebuild there. We can build another settler there. For other option see point number 5.

2) Zoi should work 2 cattle for one turn and then cattle+BG for another. This ensures the city grows in size well.

3) We would soon need to increase the luxury rate to 20%, whether we like it or not. SoZ finish is more important than 1-2 turns of research. At present, it may be a good idea to build a worker in Zoi and join it to TF to speed up the build.

4) City site 2 tiles W of TF is very good place.

5) After Rytty finishes building MP (one warrior next turn and another then), it can start a galley prebuild apparently. Then, Zoi will build a settler and galley (with warrior in it) will pick up that settler for the iron island. Alternatively, after building the settler, our capital can build JT and he can be loaded on the galley with the settler in Zoi.

6) Settler from the capital might settle on the coast 3 or 4 tiles SW from the capital. It is a good location and should not substantially increase corruption in TF.

7) The iron island is very large. We must think of where to settle on it. Closer to Zoi? Or closer to iron? IMO, closer to iron might be a good idea. It can be a plains tile just SW of the iron mountain. There are whales there which can be claimed after some cultural expansion. Also, the city would have harbor hence the citizens there would not starve.

Lots of good points akots. :)

1) I agree. Upgrading a Curragh is of no use, since we will need a Harbor first. I would suggest a Settler after this Warrior, perhaps with an additional Warrior before the Settler. Expansion is of enourmous importance ATM.

2) Are you sure? I believe I looked for the same, but I think Zoi will be 1 food short of growing if we switch one Cattle-tile with a BG. I will have a good look at it next turn however.

3) If that extra citisen will help (corruption and waste?), I suppose we could do that. It will be a little delay in Settler production there, but I guess it will be acceptable.

4) Just two more turns. :)

5) Wouldn't it go faster if the new city 2W of TF builds the Galley, while Zoi build a Worker for TF and a Settler for the island? Ryttylä can contribute a Warrior, and Fanatazuma a JT for Barb-Hunting once the city has been established.

6) If it won't affect TFs corruption, it sounds like a good place to me. :)

7) I suggest we claim the Iron first, then other cities can be build on the rest of the island.

8) Just to add my own point that I wanted to discuss. SE of Fanatazuma there is a Worker under the Warrior. I want to send him to TF to build some mines. The Worker 2NE of Ryttylä should build a road + mine north of Ryttylä, so it will go faster to move between the city and our capital.

9) Then I would like to use that Worker to build a road over the mountains and to the choke point. Is this acceptible? I know it won't gain us much productivity, but I feel that such a road would help us in the colonisation of the eastern areas.

Emp: The city grew this turn.

@Cheetah:

2) Six food from 2 cows and 4 food from cow+BG makes 10.

3) One or two shields would be added if the mine on plains on the ivory tile would be finished.

5) It might be too corrupt. Hence, need a worker there to chop the forest to speed it up.

8) Just build a road on the way there.

9) Sounds good, we'll need that.

Rytty is a good city. We can try to build a Lighthouse there. Seems very do-able. IMHO, if the other continent can be reached by galleys with a Lighthouse? We can then sail there and hammer the alien inhabitants with our free AC. However, we are not seafaring, alas. So, may be possible but may be not. What if they are too far away? And how our allies with Immortals would get there? Don't know really.

First, you guys are doing a fine job. Second, and paradoxilly, I'd like to bring up a certain point of concern to me:

We are industrious and agricultural: the two best traits for a strong start. And yet, we seem to be doing average. On one hand, if I'm correct, most of the teams are agricultural. On the other, it still worries me.

Well i think you guys are doing a good job ,afterall the opposition isn't to be underestimated neither.

And Bremp is a dangerous factor.Already he showed that he can increase the momentum of his nations growth that much that C3B is expanding faster than anyone else ,and likely to become the most powerfull countr in an x amount of turns.Frankly in the alliance this guy can be of some use but in overall he's more of a danger to us.Maybe in the long run ,we should find a way to oust Bremp of the C3B presidential seat.

There were some minor errors while playing the game:

1) Starting move for 2 tiles to a gold hill.

2) A number of micromanagement mistakes.

3) Not building city on site B to share cows with Zoi which slowed down the growth and required additional irrigations to be built.

4) No food bonus on start.

This overall adds up and hence we get the layout we have...

IMvHO, we should not think of how to make C3B play not so good but of how to make our team play better. Bremp is a great player after all and apparently very well deserves to be the President. Moreover, at the present situation, we rather win from this alliance in the long run. Hence, the Military Intelligence Department of Ministry of Defense strongly disagrees with these intentions. However, situation can certainly change. Well, not in the forseeable future. :)

I have some points...:

I think there shouldn't be a warrior going with the settler to the other island, but a JT. A warrior can come later to defend ythe city while the JT goes barb-hunting. This way we can maximize the possibiity of slaves there.

Our lack of food bonus and the quite big propability that the other teams have one (especially CGN! :wow: ) is a factor that has reduces our growth, no real settler factory makes it harder. This might be a thing done by the admins to level a little the bonus gotten from the Ivory and SoZ.

FaM is back in action. :)

Ok... we have the save... who's gonna play it?

Where is everybody?

I'm afraid I am unable to play this save in time. :(

If someone else can play this turn please do so. If not I will hopefully be able to play it in this evening.

Yes let akots do it!

Yes let Matrix do it!
