We have received Monarchy from C3B as scheduled. The revolt has been started. All government offices are closed and not functioning. Our Despot ruler ran away and is hiding in an undisclosed location from agnry citizens of ThunderFalls. Cities are starving, people eat cats, dogs, ravens, and whatever they can get. There is a rumor of cannibalism in Rytty so far not confirmed. Good thing that our military have not turned against the citizens and troops still follow the orders from their commanders.

Bad thing that this Anarchy would continue for 7 frustrating turns. However, the only city which would eventually starve is Rytty. We would certainly lose at least one citizen there. Some cities would even slightly grow. TF has enough food accumulated in the bin to withstand that disaster.

On the iron island meanwhile, people are unaware of the great disaster and revolution, so our galley has safely unloaded worker on the iron hill and warrior arrive to Chrys. Our JT popped another hut and we got a warrior out of it, a conscript one. Don't really know what to do with him, just use as MP somewhere.

I love your first post ;p

but 7 turns without any production :(

*goes to hunt down that cowardly despot*

thats a long ass time. I hope they research democracy by then for us ;)

Maybe they'll get us facism in time =S

when we are under our new king, let's just expand. I know that's what everyone's thinking, but I mean it in the way of not jumping on the wonder bandwagon, no "feel good" stuff like temples unless *completely* necesary, etc.

Original English Duck Ostrich.

It's he same system as Year of the Dragon/Mouse/cat/whatever in china

In civilization II and even in later versions IIRC,a change to goverment happened every x turn ,in civilization II this was every 4 turns (ask Matrix about it) ,AFAIK this was know as the OEDO year ,when you revolted just the year of the OEDO it it would have ment that you would have got a new goverment in the same turn ,so preventing any year with anarchy as you could count the turn in wich you should revolt to prevent that anarchy.

Because the years of goverment change were set ,it was deemed uselees to not revolt on the OEDO year as you would waste turns on anarchy ,it was better to stay in despotism for another amount of turns just until the OEDO year when eventually you revolted.

I'm pretty sure this was still a feature of civilization III ,don't know for sure of conquerers though.

TheDuck, this is NOT a feature in Civ3 or C3C. It was indeed in Civ1 and Civ2, I remember. We are playing C3C patch 1.22, please keep this in mind. :)

Length of Anarchy is determined by the "events" section of pRNG. There is also "combat" section. In C3C these sections are independent. In Civ3 there was only a single section, so that you could have changed length of Anarchy by varying results of combat. They fixed it now, there was nothing we could have done to change, except that wait another turn or two but who could have know the results of pRNG roll?
