Turns

Hello,
Forgive my naivete for the following question: What constitutes a turn? Are there certain criteria that must be met or do I simply advance at my own discretion. And how does autoturn work?

1 turn = 1 week

Time advances whenever you click the "turn" button. This button will glow green when you have moved all your spaceships. You can end your turn before that, though. I don't know what autoturn does, but I suppose it makes the game advance to the next turn as soon as you have moved all your ships (like Civilization does unless you have checked the "wait at end of turn" option). Make sure you have done everything you want to do that turn before you click the "turn" button.
