Unable to change nodes types

Hi all, i'm new here, but not a complete beginner on FFH (i've tried many different races, usually playing monarch or emperor but only finished one game so far)

I'm currently playing a large map with the ljosafars, and i'm trying to get a big mage force, so i first built some various nodes (enchantment, water) in order to give lvl 1 of this magic to one adept only.
The next stage being to build a metamagic node so i can change those now useless nodes to air nodes, and then upgrade to mage with directly lvl 2 air.

But after building my metamagic node, i couldn't find out how to change the nodes to other magic !
i've tried pillaging the mana nodes, but it stays of the same magic type!

Didn't see anything in the manual, nor on the forum, so some help would be very welcome !

I believe that you need to cast dispell magic on the node.

(Dispel Magic is the Metamagic II spell, so you'll need a Mage and you'll need to upgrade it with the Metamagic I and II promotions in order to be able to cast Dispel Magic.)
