unable to load texture

If so, then why the rest of the game is doing great?
p.s. didn't find anywhere the steam folder

I suspect it's because your graphics card can handle the very basic part of the game, nothing else. So it actually loads the game, but any time an unusual animation (city bombard, that red arrow seems quite taxing), or the leaderhead screens, or animations between turns are called, the system can't handle it.

You can disable leaderheads by editing config.ini and changing LeaderHead = 0 to LeaderHead = 1. This might help the problems with getting an error when meeting other civs, but it will show a blank screen instead.

To verify game cache, run Steam, go to Library, and find Sid Meier's Civilization V. Right click and go to properties. Then on local files, click verify integrity of game cache. This should then say 2 files failed to validate, if it says anything else, then you have a damaged file.

Thanks 4 all of the hints. I still didn't understand where is that steam thing..?

Do you play the game in steam? There is a list of games in steam library found on the left side of the dialogue box. Right click on the Civ5 title. This will bring up another list, and the last option is "properties". Clicking on properties will bring up a box with tabs starting with General, Updates, Local Files, Language, Betas, and DLC. Open up the tab that says Local Files. Click on the last option that says "verify intergrity of game cache.."

Keep clicking even after it downloads files, until it says "all files successfully varified". You have to be online when doing this.

i have the same problem with Gods and King. The game works well with original civ 5 civiliaztion but if i play new ones such as polynesia, carthage or byzantinne the "Unable to load texture..." keeps popping up every turn and action I make. I don't use steam so yeah, if there is any other solution it would be great. I've tried add some code to the babylon file in DLC Deluxe folder but it didn't work though.
