Hello... first post...
I have both Civ4 and BtS wich I installed yesterday after finding the latest patch updates...
After installing Civ4 (no patch) and BtS (patch 3.13), I found out that it was still kind of buggy so I downloaded the unofficial gamecorefix by a user (whose name I can´t recall now)...
When I started playing and got Slavery as a domestic politics, I tried to change it. Thats when I discovered that the domesticscreen was corrupt.. apparently all the descriptions of the different domestics where gone, and the revolutiontext was nowhere to be found... also, when I clicked on Exit/Done nothing happend... Only by pressing esc got me out of there...
I tried changing back the gamecore.dll but to no avail.... so I think "WTH mate" and uninstall everything... but while doing this, the unistaller tells me that a file is corrupt and is unable to finnish unistall.... this leaves me to no other choise than to delete the folder so I can get rid of all info...
(now I mayhap need to mention that I found the 3.17 patch after this... right?
)
anyhow... When I put the disc in the ROM I can´t start install, only "play" the game... I guess that in the registry the game is still counted as installed because of the corrupt uninstallation...
I make a forced installation by going in to the ROM and choose Setup manually... and after installing the game again I press play... the ROM says funny things and the Loading screen shows but then a dialogbox comes up claiming that it can´t locate the CD-ROM (DVD thankyouverymuch), it tells me to insert the correct ROM, select OK and restart application...

WHAT THE SMEGGING H**L IS GOING ON?!?!?!?!
so I thinx I need a little help in removing the game DEFINITLY from the comp. and tip on the missing Domesticscreen...
and perhaps a doghnut with choclate topping....
PS: I tried to search for similar probs, the entire evening yesterday (5 hours) went by trying to find a solution... if I missed something obvious i beg for your humble apology....
PS2: I have Vista OS
