Unique Install Problem (Disc 1)

Directx installed fine, then the installshield bar comes up, but nothing happens after. I don't get any errors, nothing happens. I've ran setup many times, always to same results. I talked to 2k tech support, they had me try to install it in safe mode, same results. They also had me copy the discs to my hard drive and install, same thing happened. My system requirements are fine.
Oh, the tech support guy said he'd email me more fixes but that was supposed to be over an hour ago.
