Im a fan of a bunch of the unit makers of this forum so i kept adding more and more units to my game and finally i ran out of space. My unit_32 file is standard and it got full too fast.

Civinator's CCM unit_32 file is massive and i got no clue how he did that. Can anyone shed some light on how am i supposed to take my current unit_32 file and double its size without losing my units if possible?

Please be as detailed as u can. My gimp skills are level 1. All i can do is copy and paste :p

You could copy a units_32 or even part of a blank sheet into your Gimp and increase the size from there. There is a large blank units_32 you can download. I am sure someone will know where. I kinda forgot...

To add more rows/space to your units 32 file, just do this:
Make a backup copy of your file first in case you mess up.

Open up the file in GIMP
Image/Canvas Size/(Double your current Height. Click in the Width box to make GIMP set it. Then click Resize).

note: Be careful. Make sure you only change the height.

It will then add a whole bunch of blank space to the bottom of the file.

Then what you need to do is add new rows to the bottom of your existing rows. I attached some blank rows for you. Open the blank rows and do an Edit/Copy. ( Or you can copy some rows from my Units 32 file that I attached).

Then do an Edit/Paste as New Layer which will put the layer at the top left corner of your file. Then Move (click M) and use your mouse to drag your blank rows to the bottom and make sure you line up the lines perfectly. You may need to zoom to 400% to make sure the grid lines of the rows are matched up correctly. Then Layer/Merge down.

Then, just to make sure everything is right, use the Rectangle Tool (R) to measure the new row squares and make sure they are the same size as the others. All of the squares need to be 32 x 32.

I also attached my units 32 file and a reference spreadsheet for all the icons. Maybe you can just use what I've got...unless you've got a lot of special units in yours already...

Let me know if you need better instructions and I'll walk you through it better.
