Units for MansWork

Gwendoline, I jump in joy for that French VBCI. I have waited a long time for such a nice made model of this unit. :woohoo:

The Stryker Command was a smash too. Nice to have you back and producing some awesome units. :goodjob:

You haven't got Spain and Austrias IFV ASCOD Pizarro ???

Indeed, Stryker CV is a great and unexpected addition

Thanks

I was wondering if there will be any chance to get any of the following in the future

Stryker Mortar Carrier M1129
Stryker Engineer Squad Vehicle M1132
M1 Assault Breacher Vehicle (combat engineer variant of M1 Abrams)

There are no place for these vehicle variants in my scenario, so a little chance to see them in future. Or they can be done shortly in special order only

I know they're not what you're after, but I'm only aware of two CEVs having been made: the M113 chassis "Mechanized Combat Engineer" by Recon1591 and the M728CEV by Jeffsheets. Both were certainly lost in the Great Hacking of 2006; I can't recall if I've reposted either but would certainly be happy to do so.

Thanks Oz for kind remarks
Being a civ-addicted sine long time ago (though not very active in forum) I know and have both of them. Unfortunately CEV is dramatically out of scale if compared to other available vehicles (I think it was made in 2 different scales but it looks I only have the smaller one). M113 w/blade could have been useful but some of its animations look a bit odd if compared to new stuff

More generally, I'm desperately looking for units to fill gaps in few contemporary era tactical level scenarios I'm trying to put together.
As a matter of fact, there are a lot of wonderful infantry, irregulars and MBT/IFV/APC units around but virtually no combat engineers/EOD team (apart from "military worker" from NavyDawg) and no support weapons such as mortars or AT infantry crews.
I hope that soon or later some of our creator will add 1-2 work animations to their wonderful infantry unit and release something like https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=e15cad0e27c2fc0227d324d913e79daf
However I understand that each of unit builder has his/her own priorities and interests and do not want to bother them too much... hence I'm just waiting

Anyway thanks for taking some time to reply. Good try. ;)

Yes, Pizarro is a better thing that I'm going to make now. But austrian Ulan is a bit different, didn't find it yet.

Btw, what you think about these two free models (they're not in produce), which one is more realistic?

Both looking great, but perhaps the first is a bit better (just).
It's your call that count however. :goodjob:

Perhaps you could even make more of "Stryker"-type vehicle. You made LAV-25, Boxer, Patria & VBCI, but how about LAV-III or any of the different ranges of similar 8x8 earlier types with .50cals. A period before the heavier guns and turrets was mounted on this type of Recon-IFV.

gwendoline,

Any plans to make some early war British cruiser tanks? That has been an overlooked line of tanks as far as Civ3 units is concerned. I would love some early cruisers in either European or North African camouflage patterns (or both, if I'm feeling greedy :D).

Well, what do I find. The Pizarro ... YES
and the Ulan on the productionline I understand.

Yeah, Tony got some nice units and the LAV-III might very well pop up from him.
Patience then and we all get lucky.

Thanks gwendoline for more fab units. I had marked M56 Scorpion in red for needed units and now I can make it done. The Sheridan needed something to upgrade from. The Stryker MGS will be the end of the line upgrade for that lineage.
We also got M41 that I believed also was replaced with the Sheridan.

Not sure about cruisers, but heavy one i need certainly.

Love the Pizarro, gwendoline! I discovered that there's also an interesting export version with a 105mm tank gun - the LT 105.

Only when i'll find an use for it...

Excellent stealth update for the ROK! Been wanting a K21 for awhile. The camo does look strange though on the K200/KIFV. Too much brown and not enough green (Needs to be more like MERDC).

Hopefully, you'll be able to finish out the modern ROKA with a K263, Biho, K-SAM, Chunmoo or even the new KW1/KW2 Scorpion variants if you have the models and/or desire. On a related note, were you ever able to find a model for the Japanese Maneuver Combat Vehicle that we talked about last year?

Only when i'll find an use for it...
Regarding the LT 105 - Sorry, I didn't mean that as a request. It was just something I found interesting.

You wouldn't have any of these SPG units.
AS-90
M109A2
FV433 Abbott

all SPG in British Army service

or perhaps the very new M777 Howitzer....

All are already in the d/b:

AS-90
M109A2
Abbot
M777

Indeed they are. Sorry mate, I just missed out on updating my Excel-sheet.
Spending too little time with this game nowadays, sad to say. Totally forgot how I listed units in my excelsheet.

I better take a better look next time, before I start asking. :mischief:
Thanks for reminding me :goodjob:
