Units on sentry do not train while sitting on ranges/barracks?

Is this by oversight, or by design? I had several units that were sitting several turns on training buildings, but gained no experience. I had them set on Sentry to avoid having to click through them all each turn.

It seems to me that they should still train, while on Sentry mode.

That's not by design, but I haven't seen it. Do you have a save?

Well...nevermind. Went back and loaded the save, hit end turn, and the units had advanced their training by the expected 10XP.

Too bleary eyed from too many JOMTs? Only excuse I've got at the moment for the false alarm.
