has anyone really looked into the effectiveness of the Universal Suffrage in alleviating war weariness in republic/democracy?

I'm more the type who just accepts it at face value. If someone said that building 100 tanks and then disbanding them would allieviate war weariness, than I would build and disband tanks.

Good question . I have never seen any thing on this subject,

I assume that Un. Su. effectiveness to 50% , I mean it reduces war weariness by 50%.
might work like an extra Police Station in your city.

It helps, but since WW is so strange I can't tell what exactly it does. -50% might be it.
