I don't know if anyone has ever done this or if it has been mentioned before but I know of a way to get like unlimited money in civilization 3. All you have to do is when you come in contact with another civilization you ask them to trade with you like have them give you like communications and like a tech and then you offer them something really small like a tech or something and then you have the cp off you money per turn. and you put in a number which takes up the whole space but it has to be the same number like 1111111111111 or 222222222222222 per turn and the cp automatically agrees. You can have all this money come in every turn for like 10 or 20 turns however long it lasts. But you have to remember once the agreement is over you loose the money cause after a while 11111111111111111 added together 10 times produces a number which the game cannot count so you will no longer have it. But you can get around this by either A: going to war with them which breaks the agreement or B: which is a much safer and wiser plan is you give them some of the money once it's accumilated like 111111111111111111 and they will naturally give it back to you the next turn. THis throws the count of the cp off and you will end up having like 1111111111111.

If they don't agree to trading then you can go to war with them and when you ask for a peace treaty just make sure you ask them for 1111111111111 each turn they will never say no, you could even take over all of their cities. I don't know if has been mentioned but if it has then sorry for takin up space. if it hasn't then enjoy.
Peace

You must be playing on an unpatched version. IIRC, this bug was fixed in a patch long ago.

Or maybe you just really like presing the "1" key on your keyboard. ;)

i play the original version man. That's too bad the patch fixes it. LOL i don't think I'm upgrading

There are a lot of new staff in the latest patch. These are my favorite :
1. Such as automatic move stacks, which will reduce your time, which is not in 1.07f.
2. I forgot what is called, you fortified your unit and awake when an enemy units come.
I think those are worth rather than money (BTW, there are some utilities in this forum which allow u to change money, or u may use the editor itself)

na I know about the editor. I like the atutomatic move stacks option though. i just use the unlimited money cause i don't have much time to play so I just play quick games you know. I don't have time to sit through and play out the entire game. When I usually do start to play the game. I end up not playing it for days due to lack of time and I can't get back in it you know, I don't remember my objectives and don't remember what's going on.

install civ3 again in a different folder, then patch THAT civ 3 to 1.07f while keeping your FIRST one unpatchd.

beware if you uninstall one of them later using Windows though because you won't be able to run the other one either without re-installing again (think it does something in the windows registry)

what i do, rather than install again is simply copy the civilization folder to another location and patch that

Yes, that's the way to do it.
