[UP] Can't build buildings etc...

Hello

I have been playing a game with the UP and it has worked fine. I am just in the modern era and have had no issues at all in this large continental map. But I have just reloaded my saved game and I can direct workers and units etc but I cannot enter the build menu for any of my cities.

I have cleared the cache and the ModUserData folder and even got rid of the UP and downloaded it again (build 34) but I still cannot enter the build menu of any of my saved games. These saves were playing fine over starting this game several days ago.
If I start a new game it then seems to work fine but I'm a few hundred turns into this one and I would have liked to continue if possible.

Any ideas please..?

to clarify, this is NOT the bug you get after you found a religion? the effect seems to be the same.

No, not for me. It is very late in the game and prior to this all was well. I'm over 300 turns in of gameplay.

I have turned on the debugging information and thus can upload my Lua file if that helps.

Could you post your lua.log file after the problem happens? It will likely contain error messages I can use to track down the problem.

Thal just to add...

I had downloaded build 34 of the mod again several times before I bothered to post this and cleared the cache each time with the same results. Going back to prior saves did nothing to resolve the issue.

I have noted several warnings etc in the LUA attached file above.

But downloading build 35 and testing that and it now works fine and thus enable me to continue my game.

There should have been no reason to assume the file was corrupted in some way during the download (I also had it backed up on my PC and that behaved the same) but why build 35 should allow me to continue I do not know.

Any ideas...?

You could well be right.
Looking at that file the problems might have started from

Runtime Error: Error loading D:\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS\Civ V Unofficial Patch (GK) (v 34)\Interface\Overrides\Techs\TechPanel.lua

and "cascaded" from there.

However I'm sure that Thal would make more sense of it than I can.

It was just a great relief that I can continue the game after all the time invested into it as this one seems pretty good for me - in other words I've survived without losing up to the modern age.!
