I have the Pentagon, other units upgrade for double digit gold (mid to high range)
5 gold to go from Inf to Mech Inf? or is it 50 and this is a typo? I unfortunatelly forgot to check how much gold was being subtracted from my treasury...

I know upgrade costs were tweaked but this seems off.

Late game in general seems off, with a ton of overpowered wonders, but then again, I suppose the rationale is if you're playing that late, you've probably won already (which is my case) I was just going through the motions to record a win.

Mine upgrades for free - with the Pentagon and the Honour path reduction. Which as you say, does seem a little on the cheap side.

Infantry and Mech Inf costs the same amount of hammers which is probably part of the reason.

Machine Gun to Mech Inf is 40 gold with Pentagon. Hammer differential is 25 hammers.
