So this new forum sub-section seems like the perfect place to finally gather all of my splits in one place and hopefully means I can get to churning a few more out when I get time away from RL work and actually making real mods over on my other thread. Of course, pretty much all of these splits are up for grabs so if you like what you see, shoot me a message and 99% of the time I'll be fine with you doing them.

Pls don't make Henry the Navigator the ruler of Portugal it hurts my Lusophone feelings, John II is just as good and more importantly: Actually ruled. Besides he too had a cool posthumous nickname: "The Perfect Prince"

Ooo! Indonesia split! I quite like the leaders...
(Lol what's with the Huns?)

No Queen Makeda for Ethiopia?

Also, maybe Tupac Amaru II will be more interesting than Manco Capac, up to you though.

Makeda wasn't *really* Ethiopian, though.
Also, I might be interested in making the Indonesia split.

Hmmm... Hun split leaders, Hun split leaders...

Well, there's Ardaric, though that might have been co-opted for a Dacia civ. He'd work. He'd also make for a really good contrast, thanks to him being a liberator of the peoples Attila conquered. Here, have a preliminary design idea!

---

The Huns (Ardaric)
Start Bias: Plains
Capital :c5capital: Ardaric's Court
UA: Sword And Conspiracy
Take City names from the lower end of other Empires' name lists. Melee Land Units gain a +10% :c5strength: Combat Bonus for every turn they spend adjacent to an enemy Land Unit. Killing enemy Military Units generates Influence with the closest City-State and gives a chance to receive a Military Unit from a City-State.
UU: Gepid (replaces Swordsman)
Unlike the Swordsman it replaces, the Gepid is faster, has a +33% :c5strength: Combat Bonus against Mounted Units, starts with Amphibious, and does not require Iron. It also has the unique promotion "Nedao Rising", which grants a massive Combat Bonus when inside City-State territory and increases that City-State's Influence Gain from gifts when at peace. Upgrades to Longswordsman. Very expensive.
UU: Rugi (replaces Spearman)
This unit is radically different to the Spearman it replaces, starting with the +1 Movement and Medic I promotions and designed to throw itself headlong into the foe. Its bonus against Mounted Units is also increased from 50% to 100% when attacking, and it may also access the promotion Charge. Upgrades to Pikeman. More expensive than the Spearman it replaces.

---

I wanted to make this a kind of anti-Huns Civ, one that focuses on the City-States Attila seems to so enjoy setting on fire and pitched melee combat as opposed to hit-and-run Horse Archer fire. Whatcha think? =]

Errm... Making a Gepid king who ended the hunnic empire as the leader of the Huns is just... what

You haven't got a lot of options, he was a trusted adviser, and he supported the claims of Attila's two sons when the third seized power.

You haven't got a lot of options, he was a trusted adviser, and he supported the claims of Attila's two sons when the third seized power.
It still makes absolutely no sense to make him leader of the Huns. Specially when there are other options to pick, like Rugila

Why is Imperial USA's UU, the Pre-Dreadnought, more powerful than the Battleship? Considering that Civ V's Battleship is based on the WWII era Iowa Class, making a pre-WWI Battleship more powerful is anachronistic.

I'm changing it all, eventually that OP is going to look non awful and the civs will be updated to my current standard here, with links in the OP instead of my sig, I'm just super busy coz its the first week of uni.

I'm curious to see how some of these get split exactly. I'd love to see what the Zulu and Aztecs could be split into.

Though if your planning on splitting them all, I think you might have forgotten to list Siam.

Alright lets finally start, alphabetically, with the good ol' US of A!

The United States of America
Leader: George Washington
UA: The British Are Coming!
Whenever an enemy unit enters your territory, the nearest city receives 3 additional :c5strength: HP and a :c5production: production boost, if constructing a unit. Specialists yield +1 :c5gold: gold and +1 :c5culture: culture in all cities, and a further +1 :c5gold: gold for every :c5happy: happiness building.

UB: Colonial Paper (Replaces Zoo)
The Colonial Paper yields just 1 :c5happy: happiness, unlike the Zoo it replaces, but has a writer specialist slot and yields an additional 2 :c5happy: happiness while you are constructing a unit. Cities with a Colonial Paper generate a lump sum of :c5greatprson: Great Writer points and :c5gold: when war is declared on you.

UU: Minuteman (Replaces Musketman)
The Minuteman is much cheaper and weaker to produce than the Musketman it replaces, but has the promotion 'No Taxation without Representation' which grant the minuteman +5% :c5strength: combat strength for every point of local :c5happy: happiness in the city in which it was trained. Double :c5moves: movement in forest.

Gotta have a bit of teddy in there too:

The United States of America
Leader: Teddy Roosevelt
UA: Carry a Big Stick
Upon training a naval unit, receive 1 :c5influence: influence with all friendly or allied :c5citystate: city states and receive 1 :c5influence: influence with all neutral or angry :c5citystate: city states upon sinking an enemy naval unit. All Naval units receive +3 :c5moves: movement the turn after allying a :c5citystate: city state.

UU: Pre-Dreadnought (Replaces Ironclad)
The Pre-Dreadnought it more :c5production: expensive than the Ironclad it replaces, but generates twice as much :c5citystate: city state :c5influence: influence when trained or upon defeating an enemy unit. Furthermore, the Pre-Dreadnought receives the unique promotion 'Great White Ship' which grants a 25% :c5strength: combat bonus and +1 :c5moves: movement when at least 25 tiles from the :c5capital: capital.

UU: Rough Rider (Replaces Cavalry)
The Rough rider, unlike the Cavalry it replaces, deals damage to all adjacent enemy units when moving into a jungle tile or from sea to land. The rough rider also does not cause an :c5influence: influence penalty when ending its turn in :c5citystate: city state territory.

And what would America be without a little non-negotiable democracy! Hooyah!

The United States of America
Leader: Franklin D. Roosevelt
UA: Arsenal of Democracy
Receive a lump sum of :c5gold: gold when gifting units to other civs or city states and these units will generate :c5culture: culture for you when attacking enemies. :trade: Trade routes to :c5citystate: city states yield :c5production: production and :c5gold: for the home city if America has an active guarantee on that :c5citystate: city state.

UU: M4 Sherman (Replaces Tank)
The M4 Sherman gets a slight :c5strength: combat boost when fighting in the lands of allies. (City state or Civ). It also gets a 5% :c5production: production bonus for each active declaration of friendship and a further +10% :c5production: bonus while at war. (up to a maximum of 40% from all sources.)

UB: Arms Factory (Replaces Factory)
Unlike the factory it replaces, the arms factory has only one slot for engineer specialists. However, while at war, all specialists in this city produce :c5production: +2 production, and while at peace, :c5gold: +2 gold. Receive :c5greatperson: Great Engineer points whenever a unit is built here.

Alphabetically?! Here goes my Indonesia split...
Anyway, that's an interesting Washington.... Though I expected something a bit more modern, as well as Lincoln.

The Umayyad Caliphate

Capital: :c5capital: Damascus

Leader: Caliph Muawiya I ibn Abu Sufyan

UA: The Deputy of God
Conquering enemy cities yields :c5gold: gold for every citizen not following your religion, and :c5faith: faith for every citizen following your religion. :trade: International trade routes spread your religion twice as effectively and yield +25% :c5gold: when departing from a :c5occupied: conquered city.

UU: Manjaniq (Replaces Trebuchet)
The Manjaniq is available much earlier than the trebuchet it replaces, at Iron Working instead of physics and may be purchased with :c5faith: faith in cities following your religion. It does, however, have slightly less :c5rangedstrength: ranged strength than the regular trebuchet.

UB: Bazaar (Replaces Market)
Alongside the regular benefits of the Market, the Bazaar yields +1 :c5faith: faith and +2 :c5gold: gold on luxury resources in this city. Upon constructing a Bazaar, instantly receive a free, random luxury resource. Has a small chance to change to a new, unique resource whenever you capture an enemy city.

Lets start with the basics

The Rashidun Caliphate

Capital: :c5capital: Medina

Leader: Caliph Umar I ibn Al-Khattab

UA: The Caravan of the Ummah
During :c5goldenage: Golden Ages, :c5faith: faith output contributes towards the production of land units in all cities following your :c5faith: religion, and religious pressure in the :c5capital: Capital is doubled. Receive :c5goldenage: Golden Age points and :c5faith: faith whenever a citizen converts to your religion; doubled in :c5occupied: conquered cities.

UU: Ansar (Replaces Great General)
The Ansar, unlike the :c5greatperson: Great General it replaces, generates a huge burst of :c5goldenage: Golden Age points upon its creation, and yields :c5faith: faith whenever adjacent friendly units are killed. If an Ansar is killed, a random adjacent friendly unit receives the promotion 'Blood of the Martyr' which gives it +15% :c5strength: strength when attacking and grants adjacent units a 5% :c5strength: combat bonus - if this unit dies the promotion is passed to another random adjacent friendly, and so on.

UU: A'raab (Replaces Horseman)
The A'raab ignores :c5moves: movement point costs in desert tiles and a +15% :c5strength: attack bonus, despite being slightly weaker than the regular horseman. While garrisoned in a desert city, the A'raab yields +2 :c5greatperson: Ansar points and +1 :c5happy: happiness.
