Let's cut straight to it. Apolyton is requesting gold for upgrading warriors to med infs. in perparation for an attack in seven turns.
They request 180g immeadiately, and as much as we can afford in 60g intervals in 5 turns.
Realistically speaking, by the time our current GCA ordeal is over, we'll only really have three units to upgrade - two spears and a sword. This will cost us 60g.
Therefore, they would want 60g in five turns, considering our current gpt rate the cost of upgrades.
Now, of course we would get our fair reward. An Apolytonian galley has found a GWT galley S. of Equilibrium, the CDG city formerly known as Shahrazade, or Fortress of the Possums. Assuming all goes well, we'll likely get contact with GWT, CGN and engineering, all for that 240g, not to mention the boost we'll give to Apolyton when they make an assault on GCA.
In addition to the gold, they ask that:
1) no techs be traded to GCA for any reason.
2) we place our own 10-turn moratorium on our tech/map/contact trade discussions with any new civs we meet, solely for the reason of allowing Apolyton to raise more upgrade gold.
Some other interesting possibilites of the future came up. They would want us as equal allies after GCA is done for. Also, we've now a guarentee that, in the absolute worst case scenario, we'll get an Apolytonian city to be refugees in.
