USB port isn't working

nothing works in the USB i had a zip drive that wouldnt work in there now a new joystick its like its not plugged in or something

any thoughts?

If thats Windows 98 ( which it looks to be, although I could be wrong ) then it could just not support the usb hardware.

Tell us the OS you are using and the exact model (s) of the peripherals that arent working.

Well, the OS could eather be Windows 2000 or *eek* Windows Me (Both Win 2k and Me share the same icons)! But hopefully its Windows 2k.

ok its windows 2000 and my USB used to work until a virus completely cleared my computer of everything even windows

and what is a USB driver? should i maybe get one?

You should have something like this (This is a screenshot taken from a virtual machine running Windows 2000)

In comparison between your screenshot and the screenshot of my virtual machine. More than likely you're going to have to get some USB drivers.

Do you still have your Disk Driver CD that came with your computer?
