USBEHCI.SYS Blue Screen Crash/Reboot

My system blue screen crashes randomly every 5-45 minutes...the crash error is 0x000000D1 and the problem driver is usbehci.sys. I've downloaded the file from the net, but I can't seem to update it. When I use Device Manager to "update driver", and I point to the location where I've saved the downloaded driver, it doesn't ever find the file.

So, I'm wondering if:

A) there is really a problem with my current driver since it is there and it seems to be functioning properly (according to my device manager and to my history of never having a problem with crashes except when I run Civ IV)

B) If so, how can I force Windows to update to the downloaded driver? Can I just overwrite the file?

My DXDIAG log is posted in this thread:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=149926 (on that note, is there a way to add an attachment to two different threads?)

Thanks!

Well, unless the driver comes with a .INF- and/or .CAB-file, Windows won't even notice that it is a driver.

Also, since this is the driver needed to support USB2.0 High-Speed devices and it comes with Windows XP SP2, I doubt you'll really find a newer version on the net - unless you haven't installed SP2, which I'd do in that case.

Anyway, does the problem happen if you unplug all your USB devices? (With the exception of mouse and/or keyboard, of course...)

np: The Orb - Lunik TM (Okie Dokie It's The Orb On Kompakt)

Ok, I have SP2, so you're probably right.

I will try unplugging everything...
