I have generated Leaders in several games so far, however, I am struggling to use them properly. I move the Leader back to a city that is building a wonder (for example), I right-click on the city and select hurry - but I get the usual message about not being able to hurry a wonder.

In short, can any kind person spell out in minute detail the mechanics of how to use a Leader.

When the leader is the active unit -- look at the buttons at the bottom -centre of the screen. the top two buttons are 'build army' and 'complete improvement'. click on the complete improvement button and it is done in the next turn.

enelrad - thanks for that. I can certainly subscribe to the stupidity bit, i'll work on the hydrogen (+oxygen) part.

Be sure you build from SCRATCH. In otherwords, don't hurry along a partially completed Wonder unless you REALLY need it and suspect someone else is almost finished with it.

Use the leader when there is no production - get more bang for the buck.

...unless you're generating leaders at semi-regular intervals, in which case you want to use them as soon as you get them to keep your shot at getting a leader from dropping.

Well I just got a leader and it felt so good... :-p Probably around my 3rd or 4th, and I just used it to complete my... Oh, bugger. That Wonder you get with the Computers advance... Doubles scientific research... Bugger it, but it was a good feeling. :)

does smn know the chance of a leader emerging from elite unit? how does the Heroic Epic change this change?

For a normal civ, there's a 1 in 16 chance of getting a leader when an elite unit wins a combat. For a militaristic civ the chance is 1 in 12.

Normal civ with heroic epic is 1 in 12.
Militaristic civ with heroic epic is...er...anybody know this one?
