After an easy game of Arabia, I decided to try Byzantium. It's much harder. There are far fewer starting units. No settlers. When I showed up, I was given control of one city in southern Italy, and Jerusalem. The city in Italy was taken by pirates. Jerusalem was taken by the Persians. With one city, three archers, and three cataphracts, it would be very difficult to survive, let alone win.
