v1.52: Still can't run game from admin account

A bug that has been there from the beginning has remained:

"unhandled Win32 exception"

(followed by a number that is different each time)

when I try to run the game from an account with administrator rights.
This happens before anything is loaded, so there is no log. Most likely, a folder access check - to the game folder in documents & settings - that has been coded wrong.

Can't confirm,
running nicely under my administrator account (although never used except for updating civ4).
Running xp sp2.
Perhaps some screwed up access rights? I don't remember why anymore, but some app produced files with all rights for the administrators group, but expicitly none for 'Administrator'.

Edit: Seem to have lost the ability to read, as you mentioned the documents & settings folder. Does the username of the user with administrator rights contain characters which are not present in the default system locale (for non-unicode applications)?

There was a space in the admin user name. System is Windows XP Home, which allows spaces in file and folder names.
But I thought of this, and changed the username nonetheless. It makes no difference.
