I have heard a lot about Realms Beyond since joining in April, but am still no closer to finding out where it is.

I think I might like it if only I could find it...

I'm sure you would like it - the games are very tough - so before Sirian gets here.
Try
http://realmsbeyond.net/civ/epics.html

I hope this isnt seen as advertising another site....Apologies in advance if it is.

Some games are tough but most are only challenging.

The tough thing is that you have to submit a report to qualify. That's why I stick to the GOTM although I am using the Honorable System in most of my games.

Who cares if it is advertising - it's not as though we are spamming or that we don't give a toss about cfc. Rules are there to be interpreted by humans for humans, always.

...anyway, are you a regular there col?

Because it is TF's private site and we're posting here as his guests, not his customers. The real-life equivalent will be to go into a shop and begin shouting out for people to go to a competitor's shop.

OK, good point. Very good point, TF - I am sorry. Nuff respect to the man himself :)

But what I was trying to say was that if people weren't allowed to tell me where I could find RB, then that would be a very silly interpretation of non-advertising and non-spamming rules.

Sorry, but it isn't, and I take offense (albeit very mildly). It's the equivalent of me going in to a shop and them not having the exact item I require (even though I am a returning customer to them), and so they (in the goodness of their heart), tell me about a shop around the corner that stocks the item I want.

They call it being nice and helpful. This is good for me (I know where RB is now), it's good for cfc (as they look more helpful and understanding), and it's good for world karma (as I now feel like helping an old lady across the road).

Use PMs and ask the people you heard it fr or check out the subforum for Civ links and sites. Yes, there's such a subforum - TF is just so nice. ;)

OK, I get it. I'm not a frequent poster, so forgive my luddite tendancies (and I hate PM anyway as my email notification is broken and so I miss it when I get sent them).

I forget that there are so many social rules, even here. I tend to spend my time in the real world ignoring those social conditions anyway, so maybe it's just harder for me to pick them up in a place like this...

Anyway, sorry if I trod on toes. It wasn't deliberate.
