OK in the other thread I posted that I thought it was caused by YouTube... actually it wasn't. It was just a very strange coincidence. But anyways within the last few weeks, the internet's been horribly unreliable, it would go down for 5-10 minutes at a time. It happened so often that it probably adds up to several hours. Anyways its also been happening to one of the neighbors (who uses the same ISP).

Is there a way to get some amount of refund for it? I'm a little upset of having to pay the full price when they cannot provide the internet reliably.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention. It's been happening since they started to do work on the street I live on. But sometimes it still goes out even if they're not actively working on it.

If you call your ISP and complain enough, you might get a discount. You'll have to talk to a "supervisor" or "manager". Be weary though, the headaches caused by dealing with these people on the phone (and being put on hold) might not be worth the trouble. You also have to know how to deal with them.
