Self-explanatory, Im not very good so if there are any newer players who wanna try their hand at MP, PM me for my msn.

:p

I don't have time for MP; besides I've a slow connection at home... Also the time-zone differences... :undecide:

I was wondering if anyone was still interested in MP, as I am looking for someone to play with, and the guys at the Paradox forums seem pretty advanced for my level. I am OK at the game, I would prefer to play with some newer players like me. Anyways, if you'd like to play, PM me or contact me over AIM (its in my profile) or post here.

I will once again put my offer, I would love to play with any meduim to newbie player. My MSN, ICQ, AIM, and Yahoo is in my profile.

An empire-building game by Paradox, set in the global stage betw 1835 and 1920. Basically you choose a nation and lead it to greatness...

ANY NATION! From America to Tibet, it is just that cool.

Is Victoria better than EU2?

Probably although its apparently much more complex.

ANY NATION!

But they aren't all realistically playable unless you really want to be at the mercy of all the main nations.

You can mod any nation to make it 'playable'. :smug:

I didn't play EU2, but I really like Victoria. Be warned, the learning curve is pretty steep though...

Nothing a little reading of that paradox forum can't help. :)

I owned the game for a few days now (and EU II) but I find it very hard to play even in a easest level (or maybe it's due I try to play as a Serbia /wich as a small nation and with neighbours like Hungary and Ottomans should be more for expirience player/). I usualy get destroied by that nations or I conquer whole Balkan but than I stay without money (something like eternal anarchy period in CivIII :crazyeye: ) and scientific backward.
Not that much help of paradox site for that couldn't find there. Maybe the moding is good way to finaly enjoy that game (that I think I would like if it's not that hard), but I don't know how to do that, they are pretty confusing about that on site, and plus I think is not possible at the moment on Computer that I posses right now, lots of things don't work on them  .

Is Knights or Crusaders (don't know the name -Paradox also- the one that start from 1200 something 'till 1400s) are any better? It's look like that, but also even more complicated.

Combination of Civ and Paradox's could be interesting...

Serbia is a really hard nation to start with. I would recommend Brazil (there is an excellent guide to it on the Paradox Forums) or Belgium. Brazil is sort of like a sandbox nation in that you can do a bunch of things with it and it is in a low-key part of the world, and Belgium is a great, not-to-big country that is good to learn the economic system with (the only downside is that you start at war with the Netherlands, but usually there is an event that helps you out). I have always found the Paradox Forums extremely helpful, they have a wealth of material for you included a revised manual by some of the users.
