video memory?

Well, the only way I found it was when I reinstalled the driver for my graphics card. After I reinstalled it and went to the control panel, the computer told me what the recommended resolution for the screen was. One thing to try could just be to make sure you're using the same screen resolution on the computer generally as you are in CIVIV.

I have never heard of specific settings being recomended for different gfx cards, and I did not recieve any message about this when i updated to the latest ATI drivers either. I did try setting the resolution of Civ IV to the same as the screen is set to (1600x1200), but that did not help either.

I have seen it mentioned that using an older ATI driver might do the trick. Does anyone know about this?

Helt elendig vinter.

Setting to the sme resolution didn't help, but now i'm playing it on the lowest resolution and with the least details. Problem is fixed, but game runs a bit too slow.

Tried that too. Still crashes in the same manner.
