Virus Warning received from Police.

Alright. NOW who thinks it's an urban legend?

I don't get it... What have you just said?

I was talking about the first post in this thread. The one talking about viruses being sent by mail.

It was a lie or an urban myth about how viruses were sendt in boxes to people...Anyway I thought this thread had died ages ago...

Don't you guys ever listen to the news? All the networks talk about a white powder containing anthrax being sent by mail.

Yeah but this thread was started ages ago and was a lie...Unless I'm wrong...

In case you haven't heard...

5 more employees from American Media, Inc. in Florida (same place where the guy died last week) have tested positive for the anthrax spores.

A letter was received at NBC in New York City that tested positive for anthrax, and 2 employees have tested positive (both are okay).

They are currently testing a letter received at the New York Times that contained a questionable substance.

A letter was received in Reno, NV that also tested positive for anthrax...

With the exception of the guy in Florida, nobody else seems to have gotten very ill. However, that has not stopped people ffrom rushing to hospital emergency rooms with cold symptoms asking for Ciprol (the antibiotic that apparently works the best for anthrax).

I am not trying to be a fear monger, I'm just passing along the information that is on all of the news channels in the U.S.

so whats the count? 8 in florida then? that sounds pretty bad...

see, what i figure though, TERRORism, is supposed to make the people scared.

If the government just covered it up, then terrorism wouldn't make people scared.

but then agian, its a bit hard to cover up a couple of buildings exploding.

We actually thought we had an incident here in Denver. Somebody got sent some mail containing a powdery substance, and everyone freaked out, and sent the employee and several others to the hospital, which was then put on lockdown, and the folks quarantined. It turned out that the stuff was pudding mix!

The fear is running high, I tell you. But, I must say that my suspicions are aroused. I mean, we go from having about 18 cases of Anthrax in the U.S. in one CENTURY, to having at least 5 confirmed cases in less than two WEEKS! I mean, something is up, and the President's exhortations of "don't panic," and "this isn't related to terrorism" is only deepening my suspicions. I wish they'd just come on out, and be honest with us, because something strange is definitely going on here.
