The last place I lived had asbestos tile in the basement. We had someone remove it. I was working on the back deck at the time (it had collapsed) and he kept walking in and out with tile while not wearing a mask of any kind and I kept thinking “well that dude is going to die.”
Anyways he did 3 years later although it was unrelated.

Me and my then horny girlfriend now wife slipped, on occasion, under the asbestos rooftop crawlspace of our college building...ah good times!
Thankfully we caught nothing so far...but later we heard some teacher who taught classes there for decades might've gotten cancer because of the asbestos in the building. Here in Portugal asbestos has, pretty much, been eliminated and forbidden everywhere...EU directives and such!
