Vista 64 woes
New computers are nice and all, but Mr Gates seems to go out of his way to ensure zero backwards compatibility with his latest operating systems. I now have a Vista 64 PC, which is all well and good until I come to try and use Mercator's tools or batch files. Specifically, I can no longer use SpriteGen, which is a bit of a pain when making scenario gfx. I have dl'ed the VB files from Merc's site and put them in win/system 32, but still no joy. Anyone have a way to get SpriteGen working with Vista64?
Secondly, I can no longer use batch files, which is an even bigger pain in the erse. Choice.com is not compatible with Vista64, and a trawl through google seems to suggest that Choice.exe, which is included with Vista, does the job equally well. Bollox. I have tried to run bat files with Choice.exe in the scenario folder and not in the folder, but neither seems to work.
Does anyone with a bit of computer savvy know the answer to either of these problems?
