wana start making maps

i am new too the whole moding or w/e but i wana be able to make maps... like there are people in the pre-made map section that just make fantisy maps..... how would i go about doing this?

well I suppose most people do it in worldbuilder, though there are some other map editing utilities around. Check the Utility Programs section and you might find it. Or check in the Accurate Earth Development thread, I know kevinman uses a non-fireaxis map editor.
