Basically, im building my civ, surrounded by the water, japan, and indians. The persians come and try to settle in the single squares of my country. I tell them to leave and they declare war. I trade for the indian world map and find that persia's on the other side of the continent.
So, should i wait for them to come to me, or should i attack them on their land? If i attack over land, the japs and indians probably wouldnt be too pleased (no ROP). I was thinking about building a fleet of gallies, loading them up and taking them on their home turf....is this logical or should i just wait for them? My last idea was to let them attack me on land, with a reserve force on boats. Once they attack and i wipe them out, id move my gallies in....what would u say? (they have a slightly larger army, maybe 1 or 2 more units)

I would just let it go...by the time either of you can get military units to the other, they will probably except a peace treaty.

i say let it go as well. they are too far away, doesn't pay the price to build lots of units to send to the other side of the world. just try to get this settler for the workers.

I agree with the first two posts. Capture the new settlement and forget about it. They probably won't do anything active with the war and will settle in 20 turns.

blow them off your map. and wait for them to sue for peace. or just build up a bit on your border cities. the AI's too dumb to do an attack from the sea.

That brings up my chief problem with this game`s AI.

AI military tactics suck! I seen them send a bunch of units into my territory while I repeatedly pick them off with air power or other offensive units...unbelievable. I could sit around all day doing this.
